Linda ayí and Vivian ayí are two elderly Taiwanese women and best friends of over 60 years. Their friendship has weathered the compounding storms of migration, education, marriage, family, and eventually the loss of their spouses. In retirement, a young filmmaker observes how Linda and Vivian are finding each other and themselves once again.
阿姨 or ayí meaning "auntie" in Mandarin Chinese.

Our creative team, led by Proof Schubert-Reed, Daniel Huang, and Hannah Tsai Kim, invited these artists to perform stripped-down sets in the sanctum of The Advocate's house.
